International Competition - Shortlisted Project
The Olympic Museum is conceived as a dynamic composition that reflects the evolving character of the Olympic Games while responding to the urban and topographical conditions of the site.
The building volumes establish a clear visual relationship with the Acropolis and follow the natural configuration of the terrain, creating a gradual transition between the dense residential neighbourhood to the south and the park to the north. The exhibition spaces are organised around a continuous circulation sequence, providing a clear and intuitive route through the museum.
A public terrace extends the museum towards the surrounding landscape, offering views across Athens and its historic landmarks. Below the main entrance level, a new public square creates an additional open space for the museum while providing a recreational area for the surrounding neighbourhood.
