Project for 5 Sleeping Cabins  - International Competition -  First Honorable Mention
The proximity to the road, which brings noise and pollution, is solved by placing a buffer space, a setback from the traffic area through an orchard, to mark the site and to give it an identity along the road.
The proposed route leading to the sleeping cabins is through the orchard, on an axis leading directly to the public spaces placed near the water front. At the exit from the orchard a small reception is placed and the main axis continues to the river turning into a pontoon.
Given the geometry of the plot that has a small opening to the water and a very large depth the main goal of the project was to place the sleeping cabins along the entire length of the plot and to place the common areas close to the river, at a lower level than the cabins so as not to obstruct their view to the river. Depending on the location distance from the water line, the cabins are raised from the ground to have a beautiful view of the river. As a future development of the plot another five sleeping cabins are proposed. They maintain the same principles of design and location on the site as the five original cabins so as to maintain a direct view to the river and privacy.
